- ➤ Gas prices in Michigan are 3¢ higher this week, with the state average now $2.85 while Ann Arbor tops at $2.94 and Marquette stays near $2.66. A 15-gallon fill-up costs about $42 (Triple-A Michigan). WKZO
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Deb Lenz is expected to be approved as Kalamazoo County's new public health director after serving as interim director. She plans to improve staff communication & operations to better prepare the agency for emergencies. WKZO
- ➤ Kalamazoo County commissioners will hear a presentation this week that may lead to a special millage request for childcare funding, as advocates note that only one in four preschoolers has a space. The board has already started a daycare assistance program for its own workers + no action is planned. WKZO
