GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Voters in Portage Public Schools approved a $132.4 million bond yesterday with 63% support — the funds will pay for new and remodeled school buildings while voters in Comstock, Galesburg-Augusta, and Parchment rejected their proposals. County voters also approved a transportation millage renewal that will raise $7.8 million in the first year — supporting a fixed-route bus and Metro Link program for five years. WKZO
