Here's your local news at a glance for Tuesday, the 27th of October.
Good morning, Portage.
🌲 Environment
Halloween looks much warmer than usual around Portage, with highs in the 60s to low 70s and trick-or-treat temperatures near 60; a few showers or thunderstorms are possible, with rain most likely Friday night into Saturday morning (check forecasts later this week).
🏛️ Government
Kalamazoo County has earned just over $5 million from investments so far this year, but Chief Deputy Treasurer Tyler White told the county board that 3.7% inflation nearly wiped out gains, leaving only a 0.18% net increase in purchasing power (higher gas and fuel costs drove much of the inflation).
