- ➤ Historian Eric Hemenway is giving a free lecture today at 5 p.m. across from the Glen Haven Cannery and Boat Museum to explain the Indigenous history of the Great Lakes islands and the Anishinaabe fishing methods. His talk is part of a weeklong series on traditional fishing skills—offering insights into how local tribes used the islands as cultural and economic bases. MLive

- ➤ Kalamazoo County announced nearly $2.5M in medical debt relief that automatically erased debts for more than 7,200 residents using ARPA funds in a partnership with Undue Medical Debt—residents were identified based on income and debt thresholds. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Michigan PFAS Action Response Team tested 77 wells in Comstock Township and found two wells with chemical levels above safe limits while most wells showed low or no PFAS. The team said levels remain low — the source is still unknown — and will keep watching the wells as local agencies and Wenke Greenhouses work to keep water safe. WWMT
