  • On Saturday and Sunday, a restored Vietnam-era UH-1H Huey helicopter will fly low over Portage and Kalamazoo as part of a special aircraft event presented by the Air Zoo Aerospace & Science Center—partnered with the Michigan Flight Museum. BUSINESS NEWS

  • Howard Miller, a nearly 100-year-old clock and furniture maker in West Michigan, said it will stop production by the end of 2025 because rising costs, labor shortages and a slow housing market hurt profits. The company, which employs about 195 people, will keep product support and offer severance and job placement assistance while selling off its remaining inventory—expected to last into 2026.  WWMT

CULTURE NEWS

  • More than 500 beer memorabilia fans will gather in Kalamazoo for the 54th annual National Association of Breweriana Advertising Convention, set to run July 22 to 26 at the Radisson Plaza Hotel & Suites (100 W.
