Here's your local news at a glance for Tuesday, the 30th of June.
Good morning, Portage.
🏛️ Government
Paving starts today on Portage Road's east side from south of Bacon Avenue to South Shore Drive and continues through Wednesday with driveway access maintained; on Thursday, July 2, traffic will shift to the east side and delays are expected.
🏥 Health
Studies show the 4th of July is the second most dangerous holiday for children as fireworks, traffic accidents and heat place kids at risk; a Kalamazoo school trustee advised parents to supervise children and prepare for emergencies (such as knowing the nearest health facility).
