➤ Summer Ridge Apartments had a pipe burst on Sunday afternoon that left about 24 tenants without water, with four units suffering damage; emergency crews began restoration work Monday and plan to restore service by Wednesday (tenants will use the clubhouse and provided water bottles until repairs are complete). ➤ UAW members at American Axle in Three Rivers are striking over a persistent 50% pay cut and calls for better benefits (including improved healthcare and profit sharing), UAW President Shawn Fain said last night. WKZO

ECONOMY NEWS

➤ Triple-A Michigan reports that drivers see average gas prices drop to $4.38 a gallon today, 27¢ lower than last week; prices range from $4.48 in Traverse City to $4.15 in Flint. WKZO

GOVERNMENT NEWS

➤ The county board will update lake level orders for Austin, Long and West lakes in Portage to meet state regulations (and plan a special tax district for future repairs) as part of addressing technical violations while also considering revisions for Sunset Lake in Vicksburg. WKZO
