CRIME NEWS

  • A 55-year-old woman was hit by a vehicle in the 5000 block of Gull Road in Comstock Township Saturday night just after 10 p.m.—she was pronounced dead at Borgess Hospital—and the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident while the driver remained at the scene.  WKZO

ECONOMY NEWS

  • The United States and China announced a 90-day pause on tariffs to lower prices, but local business Bricks & Minifigs in Kalamazoo said they still worry about delays in getting products from China—this uncertainty may hurt their cash flow until the pause ends in August. Economists say small businesses should wait for clearer signals before making new investments.  WWMT
