Pope Leo XIV, formerly Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost, was elected after a two-day conclave that ended Thursday—white smoke signaled his papacy—and he has West Michigan ties from attending the Augustinian seminary in Douglas as reported by the Diocese of Kalamazoo.
