- ➤ Clark Logic acquired Kandler Tool Company on April 22nd—now operating as Kandler Tool Services—and added over 7 million square feet of industrial real estate to its portfolio, expanding heavy machinery transportation and relocation services from its Comstock Township base. MLive
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The WMU Board of Trustees will meet today at 2:00 p.m. in the Student Center ballroom to name the new 10th president who will succeed Edward Montgomery when he retires on June 30. The meeting will be livestreamed for public viewing. WKZO
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A Portage neighborhood near Amberly Elementary School will have 11 streets repaved for a $1.8 million project approved on April 15, with road resurfacing, new sidewalks and sewer upgrades planned to begin in June and finish in September—residents may see limited driveway access during work. - ➤ Eastbound I-94 near Kalamazoo will have single-lane closures on a 6-mile stretch starting Monday, April 28th as a $1.3 million repaving project improves the roadway from the I-94 and South Kalamazoo Street intersection in Paw Paw to east of Main Street in Mattawan; work will continue through May 23rd.
