- ➤ Mark Jozwicki, a Portage resident, has invented a Personal Terrain Vehicle that lets people with mobility challenges enjoy riding. The three-wheel vehicle has gained street legal status and he plans to partner with a local university to bring it to market. WWMT

- ➤ F.L. Putnam acquired Kalamazoo's Arcadia Investment Management on March 31 — the move brings Arcadia's six-person team into the firm to expand its Midwest presence and now serve over 3,000 clients. MLive
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Consumers Energy is expanding a network of weather stations near local low-voltage lines to predict outages and speed restoration ahead of severe weather. The company installed five stations in nearby counties and will add 95 more by 2027 & expects to save nearly $1 million a year. WWMT
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A sinkhole formed on the 1956 dam in Spring Valley Park at 2600 Mt. Olivet Road, prompting officials to approve a $355,000 contract on Monday, April 20 to hire contractors who will decide whether to repair or replace the water outlet valves. Local leaders will determine the next steps soon. MLive

- ➤ Griffins announced that their home playoff game will be played on May 6 at Van Andel Arena — additional home games are planned for May 8 and 9 during the best-of-five Central Division semifinal series against the winner from Manitoba and Milwaukee. MLive
