A Coloma man died after a car struck him while dancing on I-94 Friday morning near mile marker 44 (6:00 a.m.) and the driver remained on the scene without injuries.

Rice—formerly superintendent of Kalamazoo Public Schools—announced his retirement, with his last day set for October 3. He said he will write and consult after serving six school years overseeing public education for 1.4 million school children.
