- ➤ A 35-year-old man from Chicago was arrested this morning in Kalamazoo County jail after driving wrong-way on US-131 near West D Avenue in Alamo Township—portable stop strips were used to blow his tires—and faces charges of driving while drunk and drug possession; no injuries were reported and only his tires were damaged. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Michigan residents must secure a Secretary of State appointment to convert their driver license to a REAL ID by May 7 to avoid travel issues for domestic flights, travel to Canada and parts of Mexico, and entry to federal buildings—TSA said that enforcement after the deadline might offer some flexibility though delays may occur.
