  • The Seifried family, nearly a year after losing their infant daughter to a drunk driving crash, spoke at Kalamazoo Christian High School to urge teens to think twice before drinking and driving – they will soon launch the Lucia Iris Foundation to help families cover funeral expenses.  WWMT

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Portage Public Schools bought a 14.79-acre site at 5201 Angling Road Monday, Feb. 23 for $2 million to build a new open-concept elementary school — classes will continue at the current location while construction begins in 2027 and the school is set to open in 2029.  MLive
